Wonderful Wimbledon in the heart of the city

After a rather chilly Wednesday, yesterday turned out to be quite warm.

It’s already Friday! This week’s gone incredibly fast, but that’s never a bad thing, bring on the weekend!

For lunch yesterday I went along with my work team and decided to show some Wimbledon love and watch the Garbine Muguruza vs Agnieszka Radwanska ladies singles semi finals, on the big pop up screen near the very busy city hall. With the sun beaming down, groups of workers smiling and enjoying the London lovely weather, it made for yet another wonderful lunch well spent.

Nearly 2 hours later (a perfectly extended lunch) we went back to the office, the afternoon passed quickly despite having no air con in the office, it was barable.

Today was equally as lovely, with temperatures reaching a comfortable 25 degrees celsius. I picked up a delicious taco lunch meal from Chillango and ate in The Scoop arena and just like yesterday, enjoyed watching the men’s singles Wimbledon semi finals, Novak Djokovic vs Richard Gasquet. It was an intense game and the crowds of lunch goers were oohing and ahhing.

There’s so many hidden pop up screens dotted in and around London, so why not have a Google and find somewhere nice to watch the finals this weekend, I know I am right now, as I head home with my retro lunchbox and all.
