Lunch in a royal Park

Today the first day of May, London was lucky enough to not be covered in a grey skies blanket. I had my lunch in one of  Londons eight “royal parks”,  Hyde Park.

I ate my lunch on the grass on the parade ground near the Cumberland gate entrance and the all famous speakers corner, after taking pictures of the beautiful March Arch.

Marble Arch stands iconically outside Hyde Park. A white marble 19th century triumphal Arch, one of Londons tremendous landmarks.

‘Still Water’ is a bronze sculpture of a horse’s head by Nic Fiddian-Green (2011). Standing 10 metres high, it makes another great addition to the Marble Arch area.

After a lovely lunch in the lovely green gardens it was easy to fall in love with the thought of summer time. Bring it on!
